what is ayurveda?
its history
Ayurveda is considered the oldest medical system for disease prevention and health promotion. It is a 5,000 years old system of natural health-giving that has its origins in the ancient books of wisdom known as the Vedas, a profound part of Indian culture. We find in the Rig Veda and the Atharva Veda, where over 60 preparations were mentioned which could be used to assist individuals in overcoming various ailments.
Ayurvedic medicine provides a personalized approach to the diseases by focusing on the roots of the patient’s condition rather than the disease per se.
